FAQs...
Can I lock the Ohme Home Pro?
Yes using the Ohme App you can lock the charger or set it so you approve each charging session on your phone.
What if I don’t have very good mobile signal for the Ohme Home Pro to use?
The Ohme Home Pro uses an in built roaming SIM card which attaches to the best signal provider (EE, O2, Three, and Vodafone) so even if you have poor Vodafone signal, for example, it may still connect to another network. It’s a good idea to use your phone to check the signal where the charge point will be installed though and if you’re in a complete mobile signal blackspot you might be better off with a Wi-Fi enabled or ethernet compatible charge point.
Can I install an Ohme Home Pro on a post?
Yes, we install plenty of Ohme Home Pro chargers on freestanding posts. They come with their own back plate which mounts nicely onto a post and the cable holster fits on the side too. The posts we use are either purpose built stainless steel posts or timber sleepers.
What cable lengths can I get for an Ohme Home Pro?
The Ohme Home Pro comes tethered with either a 5m or an 8m tethered cable. The 5m version is sufficient for most customers but it’s worth checking where you park your car and where its charging port is in relation to the location of the charger itself. Also bear in mind your next EV might have it’s charging port on the other side!
