The short answer is: yes, you can.
Many of our customers ask whether their charger has to stay behind when they sell their home, and the good news is that it doesn’t.
That said, a home with an EV charger already installed can be an attractive selling point for buyers so some customers do choose to leave theirs in place as a perk for the new owner.
If you decide to take your charger with you this is no problem at all. We can:
- Safely remove your charger from your property.
- Isolate the supply, leaving it safe and ready for the buyer to fit their own charge point.
- Leave the charger with you, ready to be reinstalled at your new home.

Reinstallation Costs
When you’re ready to have your charger fitted at your new property, the cost for a standard installation (which includes up to 10m of cabling) is £469.
This means you can move into your new home and get charging again quickly, without the need to purchase a brand-new unit.
If you’re moving soon and would like to discuss your options, just get in touch and we’ll happily help!
