Our customer required an EV charging solution in their garage that combined performance, aesthetics, and safety. The installation began with routing a 6mm SWA supply from the main consumer unit (CU) to the garage. A junction box was used to extend the supply by approximately 2 meters to reach the correct mounting height for the charger. Since there was no garage consumer unit in place, we installed a new CU to support the load safely. To enhance system protection, we fitted a Surge Protection Device (SPD) and ran approximately 4 meters of cabling to the designated charging point near the garage entrance. The charger was mounted cleanly against a wall, with all wiring securely surface to give a neat, clean finish.
